InsightsDoor
Apply with finished work
The door is simple on purpose. Three finished links and what you’re making next. A human replies in about two weeks. We review craft and intent — not budgets, festivals, or follower counts. Prestige optional. Done required.
Pitch decks aren’t the product
Most creator doors ask for metrics, heat, or a story about what you might make. Theater1 asks for what you already finished.
That filter is kindness dressed as strictness. If the work isn’t done, we can’t premiere it, sell it, or put fans in the credits of something real.
Founding Fifty is early admission with the 85% rate locked for life — not a vibe application for people collecting waitlists.
What fails at the door
Trailers for unshot features. Mood boards. “Episode one of an ongoing upload plan.” Follower screenshots with no finished piece attached.
Work that only makes sense inside a feed — bait without an ending — can’t survive our economics. We sell work, never attention.
Waiting for prestige permission before you apply. If it’s finished and it holds, the kit and the backers are secondary.
What better looks like
Better is three links: Vimeo, YouTube, Drive — mid-length docs, local series, one-camera films, complete seasons. Then a clear paragraph on what you’re finishing next and why it needs a home off the feed.
Better is a human read. Curation by people, not machines. Admission means something because someone said no to everyone else.
Better continues after yes: premiere like it matters, fans own titles, you keep 85%, export your list anytime.
What Theater1 is / isn’t
Theater1 is a curated streaming home for finished independent work. Apply at the creator door for the Founding Fifty. Phone + hard drive is a valid kit.
It isn’t an open upload free-for-all, a follower-count contest, or a development fund for pitches. Done is required.
