How it works
From invite to shelf
Previews are free. Owning, backing, and patronage need an invite. What you buy is yours for good.
No ads. Ever.
You are not the product. Attention isn't sold. The slate is curated by people, not an engagement engine.
Always there waiting.
Buy a title once and it's yours — stream it whenever, gift it once. Not a rental that vanishes.
Creators keep 85%.
Of every sale, backing, and tip. Founding creators lock that rate. Their fans stay theirs.
For fans
The path
- Get an invite from someone already here.
- Watch free previews on this week's slate.
- Own titles, back the next film, or support a maker.
- Show up for premiere nights — live room, then credits.
For creators
Where your name is in the credits
Apply with finished work. Keep 85%. Export your fan list anytime. Dispatch sends premiere and digest updates to your people on prepaid credits — your list stays yours. Want us to produce a release? Theater1 Presents is the optional studio tier — per title, on revenue, and your 85% stays on everything else.

- What does it cost?
- Previews are free. To own a title, back a film, or support a maker you need an invite during the founding phase — then you pay per title, or set your own patron amount. No subscription, no ads, ever.
- What do I get when I buy a film?
- Permanent ownership. It stays on your shelf to stream anytime, you can gift it once, and your name can appear in the credits. No rental window, no disappearing license.
- What's a premiere?
- Every title opens once, at a set time, to a full room — a countdown, live seats, and chat with other people watching at the same moment. After the premiere the film stays available to own.
- Why invite-only?
- The founding phase is small on purpose so early members and creators get a real room, not an empty feed. Join the waitlist or use an invite code from a member.
- Is there advertising or tracking?
- No ad networks, no cross-site tracking cookies, no engagement profiling. We use cookieless analytics only. The business model is you finishing a great film, not staring at a feed.
